In 1986, the Soviet Union was preparing the February Plenum of the Central Committee, which had to discuss the implementation of a comprehensive school reform. It was decided to study in the Byelorussian SSR. Byelorussian Ministry of Education had chosen to test  Slonim and Slonim district. In November 1986, a team of 30 people  had started to work.

On November 9 and 27 December team members were working at school. Conducted interviews with administrators, teachers, students and their parents to check the documentation. Students of different classes were given tests and dictations. During the test, attend classes, and pioneering oktyabryatskie fees, Komsomol meetings, teachers' council, meeting teachers, parent meetings, sessions of clubs, clubs, sports clubs. In a word, everything that lived school.

I never felt such fear and stress. It was very worried about what not to let the Ministry of Education of Belarus. But all the answers were accurate and correct.

Decoration and equipment cabinets received the highest evaluation score.

Experience school was shown in the program "Spotlight adjustment" on  the 1Channel  of the central television.

According to the remarkable results of the school principal Officer of the Order of the Red Banner, the Excellent Education of the USSR, the Excellent Public Education BSSR Pekarskaya Lidiya Mihaylovna was awarded the title of Honored Worker of the Belarusian SSR.
